Unaccompanied Asylum Seekers (UASC)

Abrigo Homes provides safe, supportive accommodation for Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking young people, offering a nurturing environment where they feel secure, respected, and listened to. We support young people to settle into their community, access education and healthcare, develop independence skills, and work towards positive future outcomes, while working closely with local authorities and partner agencies.

Semi Supported Group Living

Our semi-supported group living service offers shared accommodation for young people who are developing independence but still benefit from structured support. Young people are supported to build life skills, manage daily routines, and progress in education, training, or employment, while living in a safe, supportive, and respectful environment.

Floating Support With Accommodation

Abrigo Homes provides flexible floating support for individuals living in their own accommodation who need guidance to maintain their tenancy and wellbeing. Support is tailored to individual needs and focuses on independence, safety, money management, engagement with services, and sustaining positive routines.

Solo Placements

Our solo placements offer individual accommodation for young people who are unable to live in shared settings. These placements provide a calm, secure environment with personalised support plans that focus on safety, emotional wellbeing, independence, and positive progression.

Emergency Accommodation and Outreach Services

Abrigo Homes delivers emergency accommodation and outreach support for individuals in crisis or at risk of homelessness. We provide immediate safety, practical support, and engagement to stabilise situations, assess needs, and support individuals towards appropriate longer-term accommodation and support services.

Solo Placements

Personalised Care Planning and Support

Every young person has their own support plan, based on a clear assessment of their needs, strengths, risks and goals. Plans are developed with the young person and, where appropriate, with social workers, families and other professionals. We use care plans and risk assessments to make sure support is well-structured, safe and focused on progress. Regular reviews ensure the plan stays relevant as the young person grows in confidence and independence.

Supported Accommodation
for 16–25 Year Olds

We offer 24/7 staffed supported accommodation in a small, homely setting. Our current provision supports up to two young people at a time, creating a calm, family-style environment where they can feel safe, settled and listened to. Staff are on hand around the clock to provide reassurance, practical help and consistent guidance. The atmosphere is nurturing and therapeutic rather than institutional, helping young people to relax, build trust and feel at home.

24/7 Supported Accommodation

We provide safe, 24/7 staffed supported housing for young people aged 16–25. Our small, shared homes offer a therapeutic and nurturing environment where residents can feel secure, listened to and supported as they prepare for independent living.

Life Skills, Wellbeing & Independence

Young people are supported to build everyday life skills that promote wellbeing, resilience, confidence and independence. This includes personal routines, self-care and structured cooking sessions, with staff working alongside them rather than doing things for them.

Education, Training & NEET Support

We help young people access and sustain education, training and employment. This includes support with finding courses or jobs, applications and interview preparation, as well as extra guidance for those who are NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) to re‑engage at a realistic pace.

Care Planning & Risk Assessments

Each young person has an appropriate care plan and support plan based on their individual needs, strengths and goals. We complete and regularly review risk assessments to make sure support is safe, structured and responsive as their circumstances change.

Health & Sexual Health Support

We support young people to look after their physical health and access the services they need. This includes help with registering with doctors, attending appointments and making informed choices around sexual health, relationships and personal safety.

Substance Misuse Support

Where substance misuse is a concern, we offer non‑judgemental, practical support. Staff work alongside specialist services where needed, focusing on safety, harm reduction and helping young people move towards healthier patterns of behaviour.

Finances & Budgeting

We provide clear guidance with managing money, from basic budgeting to understanding bills, rent and benefits. Young people are supported to plan their spending, avoid debt and build good financial habits that will help them maintain their own tenancy in future.

Therapeutic, Trauma-informed approach

Our therapeutic, trauma‑informed approach recognises the impact of past experiences, builds safety and trust, and helps young people heal while developing resilience and positive futures.

Family Contact & Positive Relationships

Where it is safe and appropriate, we support young people to maintain or rebuild contact with family members and other important people in their lives. We also encourage positive social connections and community involvement to reduce isolation and build supportive networks.

Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC)

Safe, stable accommodation and tailored support for UASC, including help with daily living, accessing legal advice, education, health services and learning English in a caring, culturally sensitive environment.
